Here are some photos of how we place steel in our foundations... When this is done properly it eliminates cracked foundations..Thus eliminating cracks in walls, sheetrock, etc;..Notice that the steel is bent around corners.. The steel is resting and tied on steel cradles.. The steel is lapped a minimum of 18 inches, and tied with tie wire.. Notice in the photo where the concrete is poured.. You will see the vertical steel which is placed when the concrete is poured. They are strategically placed to be in the cells of the block, at all outside corners, and on 8 foot centers around the perimeter of footing..Then when the foundation block are in place, the webs with steel are filled with cement and at least a 10 inch anchor bolt along with a concrete anchor strap is placed in each one of these poured cells with the vertical steel. And then we install an anchor bolt the "traditional way.. in between those.

From there... the sil plate is bolted down to the foundation. The strap steel which is in the same poured cells are nailed to the rim joist.. From there we use steel gang nailer plates to create a metal bridge from the rim joist to the framed wall.. and at the top we use metal gang nailers at every window header.. and finally we install huricane clips at rafters, where they meet the top plate of the walls. And what does all this accomplish?..If a strong wind is trying to blow your roof off... It is tugging on the concrete in the ground.. Creating a much safer environment for you, and your family.

We take special pride in our work.. We see to it that the home is put together the way it should be.. In the places where you can't see them when the house is finished... Other builders in this part of the country "DO NOT" use these techniques "YET" we are hoping to change that.. When a homeowner pays hundreds of thousands of dollars purchasing a new home, they should also be purchasing a peace of mind in the process.
