Meet The **Builder**

Hi;.. That big handsome guy in the middle is me.. Aaron, and that's Brandon, my younger brother layed back on his green truck. He is actually as tall as me, when he is standing up straight, His nick-name is "Paco"... at least for now.. Last year his nickname was "Jitters". He'll answer to about anything though...especially breaktime. He designs and drafts the plans for all the spec homes we build, He really does have a special talent for it. That short grouchy looking man is Dad..He has been in the home construction business since I can remember, and I've been exposed to every aspect of home construction since I was 10 years of age, on weekends and summers. I'm now 32. When I decided to become a builder in my oun right, I began to study for my state contractors license in 2001.. I passed the exams and acquired my license in 2002. Dad felt it was important that the first few houses be built from the ground up without hiring any subs. We have a friend who is a licensed electrician and plumber, and Brandon and I even worked with him wiring the homes... to gain insight on that as well The only thing we didn't have a hand in,was heating & air. We layed the lots out, put in the foundations, framed them, hung sheet rock, bricked them, built the fireplaces, layed the stone, roofed them, installed hardwood floors, trimmed them out, painted them, hung cabinets. layed tile, etc; etc;..Because dad said that if you intend to build a truly quality built home, you need to know every aspect of doing so.. That way, when you hire a subcontractor, you will know in less than an hour if they are capable of what you expect from them. And don't forget.. we had already been doing most of these things most of our lives anyway.

So, if you decide to use Darrah homes for your new home construction.. Or have your older home remodeled, you are hiring someone who actually can do the job if need be. It has taken several years to put together a team of good, reliable subconctors, Subs who appreciate a job well done. Darrah Homes is not planning to be the largest builder in Tennessee... Our main goal... Is to earn the right to be known as the best builder in middle Tennessee!

P.S. Dad is the one with the biggest "attitude"
